Short promo video for investors. HabitRPG description and team introduction.
00:00 HabitRPG is a gamified habit improvement program. It helps you boot bad habits and improve good habits.
00:06 It differs from traditional habit tracker apps, such as Lift, in that it’s gamified.
00:11 As you improve your real life habits, such as smoking cessation and going to the gym, you gain weapons and armor, gold and experience, and you progress the game. If you fail at your goals, you lose hit points. And eventually you start backsliding in the game.
00:23 It uses addictive hooks from the video gaming industry such as badges and achievements,
00:27 rare and random prizes,
00:28 and most important of all, it’s social. You can join interest groups that act as accountability partnerships.
00:34 It was originally a Kickstarter campaign that tipped at $41,000. And subsequently got
00:36 a lot of press on sites such as Reddit, Kotaku, Tekzilla, BostonGlobe, Lifehacker, and more.
00:44 So let’s meet the team. HabitRPG is an open source project with about 45 contributors, but there is a primary group who are the co-founders.

She has over three years of experience managing a small business with revenues in seven figures, including negotiating six figure deals. Notably, she finished her undergraduate degree, including a junior thesis, honors thesis, and research fellowship, in less than three years.
01:29 Leslie is our artist and our community manager. She’ll be designing our pixel art and writing social media content. She has a strong background in education and linguistics. She’s also the author of three plays, (one published, two professionally produced), and one published story for children. Also, our community loves her.
