Free Yourself of the Dragon's Influence is a boss quest that marks the beginning of the Vice quest line, the first equipment quest line. The quest can be purchased from the Quest shop for 4 gems by players of level 30 or over.
A player needs to be at level 30 or above to initiate the quest, and Bailey the Town Crier recommends a minimum of level 30 to take part, although lower level party members can participate. All players who were at level 30 or above at the time the quest was released received the quest scroll automatically. Now, users receive the quest scroll on reaching level 30.
The main antagonist in this quest series is the dragon Vice, who saps the will of and inflicts laziness on the heroes of Habitica. Vice's Shade's HP (750) makes this a medium length quest and its strength multiplier (1.5) makes this an easy quest. Without using Warrior or Mage boss damaging skills, a four-person party can typically finish this quest in between two and three weeks. It is up to the players to withstand his dark powers and continue the Vice quest line to attain the ultimate prize: Stephen Weber's Shaft of the Dragon.
Description
They say there lies a terrible evil in the caverns of Mt. Habitica. A monster whose presence twists the wills of the strong heroes of the land, turning them towards bad habits and laziness! The beast is a grand dragon of immense power and comprised of the shadows themselves: Vice, the treacherous Shadow Wyrm. Brave Habiteers, stand up and defeat this foul beast once and for all, but only if you believe you can stand against his immense power
Part 1: How can you expect to fight the beast if it already has control over you? Don't fall victim to laziness and vice! Work hard to fight against the dragon's dark influence and dispel his hold on you!
