I'll have a go at this. I think it is a bit backwards. The article is written based on the Habitica framework, rather than on the school day and school tasks.

It will be an experimental approach only and I'll notify the community when I have some text.

Neither student nor teacher, but a parent and I feel "getting a bad grade" as a negative habit is demotivating - my son has dyslexia and despite learning and practicing, he will get the following results on 6 questions with the same pattern: 2-3 perfect, 1-2 missing a word, 1-2 completely wrong. His brain just twists things around and the pattern isn't there for him... if the habit has to be there I would and (will amend it to "because I didn't study"). --DepriCat (talk) 18:56, August 9, 2017 (UTC)

2 tanners (talk) 00:03, August 13, 2017 (UTC) @Deprecat - I'd perhaps feel the same, but the negative habit clearly states that the bad grade is as a result of neglecting studies. Getting a bad grade by itself isn't the same - coping with dyslexia, chronic illnesses, an attack of the flu etc aren't the same as neglecting your studies. Does this ease your concern?

Large revisions to put tag use first. Too much deterministic language - must, need to etc - has been edited out. The categories have been changed so that a student can skim to homework, major assignments or whatever. The heading "Succeeding with Habitica" has been changed as part of this. Minor proof reading edits. Thanks to Wizards of the Wiki for all their constructive comments.2 tanners (talk) 22:15, August 14, 2017 (UTC)
