The Monstrous Moon

The Monstrous Moon is the third and final part of the Lunar Battle equipment quest line. It is a boss quest with an eponymous boss, and it can be unlocked by checking in to Habitica 40 times. Once unlocked, additional copies of the scroll can be purchased for 4 gems from the Quest Shop.

Monstrous Moon's HP (1000) makes this a long quest and its strength multiplier (2) makes this a medium difficulty quest. Without using Warrior or Mage boss damaging skills, a four-person party can typically finish this quest in between three and four weeks.

You get @Starsystemic's urgent scroll at the stroke of midnight and gallop to her tower. "The monster is using the full moon to try to cross over to our realm," she says. "If it succeeds, the shockwave of stress will be overwhelming!"

To your dismay, you see that the monster is indeed using the moon to manifest. A glowing eye opens in its rocky surface, and a long tongue rolls from a gaping, fanged mouth. There's no way you'll let it fully emerge!

On Completion[]

The emerging monster bursts into shadow, and the moon turns silver as the danger passes. The dragons start singing again, and the stars sparkle with a soothing light. @Starsystemic the Seer bends down and picks up a lunar shard. It shines silver in her hand, before changing into a magnificent crystal scythe.
